as someone who was absolutely terrified of driving due to bad anxiety, i can confidently say i can finally drive (good and safely)! i bought the 5 class package with an additional separate class and a mock exam the day before my exam, these people seriously teach you everything you need to know with such patience and kindness and they teach you well!! parking was great with the way they teach you! and the reassurance they give that you ll do great is amazing. shoutout to jennifer for teaching me...
the basics, jose for teaching me how to park and 3 point turn (and in my first language which made me feel more comfortable!), and biggest shoutout to alberto for combing everything so well! i would definitely reccomend alberto as he made me feel more collected when driving as i was nervous with our convos! this driving school is truly amazing and i really thank you guys so much for my new license! i passed today 5/17/24 :) will never forget you guys!
Thumbs Up Driving School is definitely top tier for the North Bronx area. The staff was patient and understanding, my driving instructors were great teachers, clear,patient and the make sure you understand the road and the vehicle. I definitely recommend anyone learning to drive to stop by here.
Literally the best driving school ever. The team is so hospitable, supportive and attentive. If you re looking for a driving school, book them ASAP!! I passed my rd test with a 95, I promise they re the best!
This driving school really impressed me with their respect for their customers. All agents are Jovial and welcome their clients warmly. As far as teaching is concerned, nothing to say, they are professionals so I recommend this school to anyone who wants to briefly pass their driving test.

Thumbs up driving school, I want to thank y all for having very professional, patient driving teachers. Prior to signing up with thumbs up, I had signed up with another driving school for road lessons but let me tell you my instructor complained about every thing on the road, making comments about other drivers and the neighborhood we were in. He spent more time talking about what he hates about the neighborhood and drivers more so than worrying about what I needed to focus on. In contrast, I took...
only one lesson from thumbs up and I learned so much more than I did in my previous lessons. Unfortunately, I forgot the the guy that gave me a Lesson, but he thought me various techniques based on how to parallel park and how much you need to turn the wheels, as well as what to look for in the mirror in relation to the door handles. All these techniques give you a point of reference in order to execute the parallel parking during your road test. Long story short, I passed my road test first try and learning those techniques help me to be calmer. Thanks thumbs up
Everyone is so kind and friendly. All the instructors are so friendly and make understanding what to do on the road so easy. Honestly the best driving school without a doubt. Thank you everyone for all you have done.
My experience with thumbs up driving school was the best. Big shout out to Jeffery and Albert. Both of them did a great job ensuring they instilled the knowledge in me to know the rules of the road and be brave with decision making. Everyone from the front desk was super helpful. I honestly thought these reviews were fake it seemed too good to be true but I tried it out and my experience was amazing ! Albert & Jeffery were super helpful & encouraging with when I first started my lessons up until my test date I learned everything pretty quickly and they helped to actually explain the steps of everything & how to achieve them even when I wasnt too sure about something . Also to add Yari took me to my road test & she was great she didnt make it awkward with being in the car...
for a little while waiting my turn for the test , she made me feel comfortable & I ended up not being nervous . Ending up passing with just a few points but thats okay ! 10/10 experience. I will be back for my defensive driving & maybe even for highway lessons . Dont even bother going anywhere else if youre looking to pass your test , THIS IS THE PLACE .
Lo recomiendo al100% los profesores son muy experimentados, motivadores y amables en todo momento. Me tocó aprender con Don José, quien es un excelente profesor y siempre está pendiente de la seguridad del alumno y todos en el camino.
