I took lessons with Victor and passed my road test on my first try!! I had never driven before and Victor was so patient and helpful from my first lesson. After just 3 lessons, I felt confident that I could pass the test, but I took a few more to perfect my driving even more. He helps point out how you can improve and is happy to answer all your questions. Bonus points, he has an amazing technique for parallel parking that was so helpful for passing the test. If you re learning to drive, definitely take lessons with Victor!! 10/10 would recommend.

Short summary: do not waste your time and book a class in another place. Also, you can book driving test next to the DMV for $80 instead of $170 that they charge you. Long story: I have booked 2 advance appointments with Amin driving school, one for practice and one for the road test since I have driven before in another country. Read full review see this comment. On the day of the road test Celina called 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time and suggested that she will be late for 45(!) minutes. I patiently waited for 40 minutes and then figured over the messages that she is stuck in traffic about 30 minutes away from me. It was hard to believe that she would make it, so I offered her to meet at Newark Penn station. I got ready and ran up to Journal Square to take a PATH train to Newark (where the exam took place). Shortly I called her from Newark train station to pick me up and go to the DMV, she said she needs another 20 minutes (!). At that time I had only 50 minutes to make it to my appointment on time, believe it or not I walked all the way from the train station to the DMV under 100F boiling heat just to make sure I made it. Half way through the walk Celina texted me and said that her car is broken (what a surprise), but someone from school is on their way to take over. Well, I got to the DMV, called Kathy (new instructor) and she was still 10 minutes away and considered charging me (attention) $150!? I walked to a first driving school instructor that was near DMV and was offered a car for $80 and an extra 15 mins of practice for $20. $100 total and the test was passed. Im giving 2 stars because of the decent 1st lesson. Besides that timing and communication are lacking considering that this is actually a commercial business that claims to be good. Please be careful with all the positive reviews.

Coming into the driving test i was really nervous i was turning my wheel really hard and i was braking hard and everything was bad i had 3 days to practice before my road test but it didn t click the last day i scheduled with amin driving school and got Kathy. Kathy immediately killed all the nerves i had and showed me how to turn correctly brake easy and be comfortable in the car. she was very polite and patient

Hands down, Celina THE BEST instructor in town! I passed my Road test today (yayy!!) , cant enough thank her for her support throughout my entire journey with her. Kathy was an amazing driving instructor for me. She taught me about how to park in under 20 minutes. She was very polite and prompt on time, I have more wheel coordination and confidence because of her. Thank Kathy I passed my Road test!!

Great instructors that will teach you how to drive safely and pass the road test with ease. I found it to be the most affordable driving school in the area as well. I highly recommend Lenny and Raul as instructors.

I successfully passed my road test on the first attempt after taking lessons with Raul! Being a new driver, Raul s guidance was invaluable from the very beginning. I felt confident about passing the test in 2 lessons but I took for a few more to refine my driving skills. Raul rightly points out to areas for improvement and guides really well. His techniques for Parallel parking, K turn and street driving, were the key to me passing the test. If youre in the process of learning to drive, I highly recommend taking lessons with Raul! 10/10 Recommendation.
