I genuinely enjoyed my experience with ADVAN Driving School. They have a great and organized scheduling system through Carly, and the instructor, Dereck was very insightful and truly cared for the students well-being. The instructor gave a lot of great, helpful tips during the practice drives and also before the actual driving test. The instructor also conveniently comes and picks you up at the location of your choice. Everything was provided so that the student can focus 100% on driving and have a fun and educated learning experience.
I highly recommend ADVAN Driving School! Derek is an awesome instructor! He definitely has an eye for details he ll tell you exactly what you re doing right and wrong, and he has amazing reflexes. He even gave my son lots of written notes regarding his driving, so he had something to review before the test. They also had a Saturday lesson, so they practiced around the DMV. I m delighted to say that my son passed the test on his first attempt! Derek s instruction truly made a difference and contributed to my son s success. He s kind, patient, focused, and helpful. Thank you!!
Excellent driving instructor. Very laid back instructor but knows when to be firm. Also has very good reaction time, and instructor knows when you are ready or not. I missed 0 errors on my driving test thanks to the proficient tutelage of this driving school. Instructor can be very flexible regarding timing and schedule. Would recommend to all.
Advan driving school instructor Derek is very affirmative when he needs to be and goes through everything you need to know to be able to pass the driving test. He s a good communicator as well as Carly with flexibility on lesson days. I failed my Pasadena dmv due to a bad instructor from LA but I passed with no critical errors from switching to Advan. I learned a lot more when taking lessons at Advan and I recommend this driving school for future new drivers who need a driving instructor. I overall had a great experience! Thanks
Dereck is a great instructor! He s been teaching for awhile now so he knows all the tips and tricks. I did go to another driving school before and it wasn t helpful at all. Advan also made sure to ask me where I was as a driver to prepare me for the best testing experience. It was always a calm and comfortable learning environment. Highly recommend this driving school!
Most new teen drivers are beyond excited to get their driver s license. It s a rite of passage and the first step into adulthood. My job as a parent was to make sure my child is safe and In good hands. Advance driving school was my best choice and put my nerves at ease. We are very satisfied and had the best experience with this driving school. Derek is patient, knowledgeable instructor. Carly and Derek are very professional, accommodating and have great communication skills. I received phone calls or text messages for pickups, drop offs and reminders. Pricing is very reasonable as well. My daughter passed her written and driving test her 1st time. I highly recommend Advan driving school.
Lessons were really helpful and filled with lots of great tips and details! I gained a lot more confidence behind the wheel and felt fully prepared for the test. My turning, traffic checking, acceleration/deceleration control, etc. improved dramatically. Would definitely recommend to those wanting to improve their driving and pass their tests!
I passed my behind the wheel test because Derek was such a professional instructor. I learned a lot from him, from basic to being a defensive driver. And on top of that, Carly, who answers the phone calls was very nice and accommodating. She does the schedules and gave us a reasonable price as well. ADVAN Driving School is highly recommended.

schools. their prices are truly reasonable. I availed the 6 hour combo plus the brush up and use their carb during driving test. Then Derek will pick you up to your home and you can pay him for your lessons. No need to go to their office. During my lesson, he will explain in detail the concept and the right Way of driving in a safely manner. Sometimes I asked him too much questions but he s very cool and gentle. He will explain in detail to let you understand well. Derek is very cool and flexible because I asked him nicely if he can drop me or pick me in my requested locations and he will drop you or pick you in your requested locations . If I call in the office and left voicemail messages to call me back, she would call me back right away.He also built my confidence in driving from residential, side street and esp to freeway. That s why on the test exam I m confident on my driving test though I was quite nervous . Truly, I passed the exam today and I am very happy. That s why I am giving them five stars and certainly recommend them to all from students, first time or who had drivers license in their previous country to get this ADVAN school. I picked ADVAN driving school because it s close to my house and has great reviews. Honestly, you don t have to actually visit the school to make appointments; it s all through texts and calls so you ll save time. The reception lady is super nice and tells you clear instructions and my driving instructor was Derek (like everyone else lol). Derek is super chill and funny, though he is picky (sometimes). But that s because he really wants you to learn and pass. Better being pointed out your mistakes...
